E-Safety

At Widney we take E-Safety very seriously and are continually reminding children of the benefits of ICT but also the dangers that can be found online.  We talk about rights and responsibilities and ensure that children know what to do if they are even a little bit worried.  In school we are connected to the Solihull extranet via fibre optic cable and have extremely robust filtering to ensure that the chance of accessing unsuitable material is greatly reduced.  We are aware, however, that children access the internet in many ways in school and at home including via mobile phones, gaming devices, tablets and Smart TVs.  We hope some of the following documents can support you as you seek to keep your child safe online.
